I've gone to Yosemite's Tuolumne Meadows every summer since 1985. Tradition! It's glorious, and has never been the same any two years. Each summer I try for year-and-a-day reservations for the following summer, getting as many as I can during my preferred time period (late July-early August). Once I decide which reservation I'm using, I offer the other reservations to friends...then cancel the unclaimed reservations and have my multiple deposits refunded (also making the coveted reservations available to others). This summer, my brother (who came there once, 22 yrs. ago) is joining me -- for just 4 nights. I have several reservations (for 5-7 nights) with start dates from July 20 through August 3. If any of you are interested in using one or more of the reservations, please e-mail me at NAEQ@aol.com, and I'll send you the full list of reservations and answer any questions you might have. I just checked the Yosemite website and, as of now, during the months of July and August there is only a single night's reservation available. It's been like that for the past many months. I'm looking forward to returning to Tuolumne each summer until I can no longer crawl.
